The Port of Milford Haven have today announced that its Chief Executive Alec Don will be leaving from his position and Alec is, therefore, standing down as the Â鶹ÊÓƵ’s Chairman.
The Port of Milford Haven have today announced that its Chief Executive Alec Don will be leaving from his position and Alec is, therefore, standing down as the Â鶹ÊÓƵ’s Chairman. Alec departs the Port after eight years and on good terms.
The Â鶹ÊÓƵ’s current Deputy Chairman, Martin Lawlor, the Chief Executive of the Port of Blyth, will assume the Chairmanship on an interim basis until a permanent arrangement is agreed. He will be supported by the Â鶹ÊÓƵ secretariat led by Chief Executive, Richard Ballantyne. On his departure Alec Don said:
“It has been a great honour to have served as the Â鶹ÊÓƵ Chairman, albeit for a relatively short period. The Â鶹ÊÓƵ has a great team which does an excellent job on behalf of the ports and I send the Â鶹ÊÓƵ and all its members the very best wishes for continued success.”
Richard Ballantyne said:
“We are extremely grateful for the leadership and support Alec Don has given the Association and to the UK ports industry, both during his short term as Â鶹ÊÓƵ chairman but also during his eight years at the port. He leaves with his head held high and we wish him all the very best in the next stage of his career.”
