Â鶹ÊÓƵ Sector Representatives
The Â鶹ÊÓƵ draws on its broad and diverse membership to provide specialised or technical input and support for the Â鶹ÊÓƵ’s policy work in certain areas. Our member’s expertise and support strengthens our engagement and improve policy outcomes.
We are currently seeking support from port and terminal members who are willing to represent the sector in the following areas. If you work for a Â鶹ÊÓƵ member port or terminal and would like to be more directly involved in supporting the sector as a whole, get in touch here.

We expect similar engagement at some point on the development of Environmental Outcome Reports (EOR). Government policy is primarily focused on England although we usually promote our policy positions UK-wide. |
| Marine Net Gain | Y | Supporting Â鶹ÊÓƵ following the development of marine net gain, attending occasional workshops. Â鶹ÊÓƵ has an early position and clear asks that we are pushing. Mainly England but could apply more widely in future. |
| Marine Plan Updates (England) | N | Representing Â鶹ÊÓƵ member ports at workshops and events as marine plans are updated (currently, this is the East marine plan but does not need to be from that area as developments here will have impacts in future marine planning updates and the role is representing the national association. |

| Marine Spatial Prioritisation | N | Supporting Â鶹ÊÓƵ and other marine industries in engagement with Defra in pushing our position statement, attending occasional workshops. Policy is being developed by Defra. We are not clear on how widely it will apply yet (i.e. whether it will be wider than English waters). |
